Meditation for Beginners: How to Meditate – 2012 Mind

Find a comfortable position. On the floor or on a chair, however you feel comfortable. Cross your legs and clasp your fingers. Close your eyes. Don’t chant any mantra, just relax. Totally relax. When we cross our legs and clasp our fingers, energy circles are formed and give more stability. Eyes should be closed since they are the doors to our mind.

Mind is nothing but a bundle of thoughts. Whenever there are thoughts on the mind we may get many questions. To transcend on the mind we must observe our breath. Witness your breath. Don’t do conscious breathing. Meaning don’t exhale or inhale consciously, just observe the normal breathing.
